Historical wall clock from recycled bestseller of comrade Lenin – with embossed hand painted gold portrait, star and original red bookmark
Recycled wall clock from a vintage book written by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. Published in Hungary in 1953, so this book is more than 60 years old!!!
Lenin was a Russian communist revolutionary, politician and political theorist who served as the Premier of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. A Marxist, his ideas on revolutionary theory became known by others as Leninism, which later developed into the political theory of Marxism-Leninism.
The embossed Lenin portrait painted out on the book cover with gold colour by hand. On this picture he looks in the direction of a brighter and happier future 🙂 Above his head a gold star shows the noon and midnight. This star otherwise was a military insignia on a military uniform. Clock hands and screws are also painted with gold colour.
It could be an ironically funny part of your home, but essential for proletarians! 🙂 Also recommended for history teachers and historians.
Assembled with a brand new, very quiet and high quality clockwork (made in Germany) so it is absolutely bedroom friendly. It works with an AA size battery that is not included. There is a hanger on the back side.
Dimension: 5,5″ x 8″ (14 x 20 cm) – plus the red bookmark 🙂
